1 – I was informed by Fidelia that her mother passed away on September 2. She lived at 6824 Ontario St. She is expecting a lot of family, friends, and church family to visit for the next few weeks. She wanted me to get the word out to her neighbors the reason for more cars than usual to be parked on the street. Once there is word of a funeral, I will send it out.
2 – A reminder of a special election this coming Tuesday for Virginia’s 11th Congressional District. Polling places will be open 6am to 7pm. Early voting for the November 4 General Election will start on September 19.
3 – The Annual Meeting will the on the second Thursday of October – 10/9. If anyone wants to host it, please let me know.
4 – The next Stuff the Bus event will be at the Huntsman Giant on Saturday, 9/13, 10am to 3pm.
5 – It is approaching the time for the CAWSV 2026 Membership Drive. If you are not sure if you are in good standing, reply to this email and ask. Thanks to those that did and stopped from doing a three-year renewal two years in a row.
