Village News - August 8, 2024

August 8, 2024

Not much news since it has only been a week. It was good to see Supervisor Herrity and several Fairfax County Police officers visit Village West Pool on Tuesday for the National Night Out Event. We were one of 159 events throughout the County.

1 – Safety

2 – Inova Blood Drive at Village West Pool – Saturday, 8/10, 12-4pm

3 – Storm Resources

4 – Juice Box With a Cop – Saturday, 8/10, 10am-12pm

5 – Reduced Fee Vaccine and Microchipping Events

6 – Calendar

1 –    A member asked me to mention that wearing light colored and/or reflective clothes at dusk and nighttime will increase your visibility to motorists. Walking with a light will help as well.

Please be mindful that school starts August 18. Look out for buses, children walking to school, and more students driving.

2 –    This Saturday, 8/10, 12-4pm, will be a blood drive at Village West Pool. A Bloodmobile will be in the parking lot. You can schedule an appointment at
