The Time Machine – Dennis and Nancy
Gehley are baby boomers (1946/1947) who have been
disc jockeys since 1989. Their very first DJ event,
in fact, was for a Village West pool party nearly 20
years ago. Since then, they have done hundreds of
“gigs” for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, high
school reunions, ordinations, New Years Eve, office
parties, and other special events. The Time Machine
has an inventory of over 30,000 songs ranging from
the Big Band era of the 30’s and 40’s, rhythm and
blues and rock ‘n’ roll of the 50’s through today’s
hip hop in the new millennium. Dennis and Nancy DJ
regularly for two dance clubs in the D.C. area: the
Northern Virginia Shag Club, which specializes in
Carolina Shag (east coast shag and beach music) and
the D.C. Hand Dance Club, which specializes in
R&B and jitterbug for kids who grew up dancing in

Services, has been officiating weddings and
funerals for over 32 years. He is a retired Army
Chaplain (Colonel) who specializes in creating
personalized weddings ceremonies. Unlike “marriage
mill” ministers who have one or two ceremonies, Rev.
Hoffmann creates a unique ceremony for each couple
based on their beliefs, customs and culture. He
offers the same personalized service for funerals. He

Immanuel’s Hope Ministry - Rev.
Hoffmann also founded a 501 (c) 3 charitable
organization called The Treasure Chest in 1988 which
has been renamed Immanuel’s Hope Ministry. It is
located at 6901 Braddock Avenue in Springfield. They
accept kitchen, bedroom, living room, and dining room
furniture in good condition. They also accept house
wares, household and linen items and clothing. They
do not accept large appliances, food, toys and bulky
items. Donation hours are 9:00 -11:00 AM on Sunday
and 12:00 Noon- 4:00 PM on Wednesday. Call
703/916-8654 for furniture pick up. Allow two weeks
for scheduling. A tax deductible receipt is
available. Distribution of donated items is made on
Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
Marty Taglieri - Village Music
Teacher - Marty was classically trained in the violin
and viola with a degree in violin. Marty has taught
all ages for over 30 years as well as performing
himself. He is active in the school's string programs
and volunteers there to help our children with it as
well as pop and fiddle styles. Marty also teaches
adults and loves all styles and genres including
orchestral, chamber, sacred and solo. He teaches at
his Vancouver Road home year round and still has a
